No one in particular. But from the period of about 2006 to 2015 or so, I probably spent close to 50K on 12 to 13 Coopers, A few handguns, couple shotguns and tons of reloading equipment. Mostly due to RFC in general. Got to the point where I have way more than I need. Many guns just don't get shot anymore. Still have shells to reload. Have a few house projects that needs to be done too keep the value up and just regular maintenance. Found a new hobby, watches, that can be a bit expensive. Fortunately or unfortunately demand for certain models is so high they are unattainable. Saw the watch I'm on a waiting list for on 47th street yesterday for $18,500. Watch is $9250 MSRP. Guy told me if I get the call from my dealer he would buy if from me for 13k. Told him, why would I sell to you for 13K, when I can sell it on my own for 15k iin a heartbeat. Walked out and took my wife to dinner. Went to our usual place and had a few martinis. Bartender bought another round for us each. So we stumbled over to St. Pat's, put some money in the can and wife lit some candles. Then across the street to Saks where a sizable amount was spent on a handbag for Mother's Day. I think the bartenders at DelFrisco's are in cahoots with Saks. Get the guys a buzz so they go across the street and spend money on the wives. Its all good. Pouring rain outside.

I did not know BRNO existed until reading a couple of threads here. Gerald and Signalman are compelling fans of Model 1.

In general, this site has exposed me to my Tikka 1X and CZ 455 FS.

Stan caused me to buy a CM-2.
Sophia a couple CZ's.
Dean, another Contender barrel.

I'll take the blame for everything else.

They Made Me Buy It

While I can certainly say many have "encouraged" my thinking - the ultimate purchase decision falls on Me, Myself, & I requiring a majority vote. The CZ group ( you know who you are ) have probably lead the encouragement input . . . not only in the rimfire area, but also the handgun and centerfire categories as well. But then the Anschutz, Cooper, Sako, Steyr, S&W & 1911 groups have done their part.

Since the inventory shows CZ products way out in the lead . . . we will assume they are the best encouragers.

Everyone!

I don't know who to blame it on but this site has cost me a ton of money. First it was CZs. I didn't even know what a CZ was. Now have eighteen. Then it was S&W. Reading about the model 63 and other j- frames and seeing the pictures on here won me over. Started on this site with zero S&Ws now have ten J and K frames. Then it was Rugers then Brownings then Winchester. I was happy with a 94 and one 9422 until this brainwashing place called Rimfire Central. Now have five 9422s. I'll not mention the Marlin 39s or the Berettas , Sigs, Charter Arms , H&R, Stevens,Bersa, Rossi, Seecamp,Taurus,Remington,Uberti, and before I forget them Walthers and Manurins and Mossberg, Oh yes one Colt. I probably have forgotten some . When I first started here I had one safe mostly empty with a few guns .Now I have three safes stuffed full with overflow. Do I need a lawyer? Who can I sue? Just joking. I've had a lot of fun here. Not sorry one bit. Trying to find a particular gun can be like a treasure hunt. And also the scopes , grips , holsters , ammo , gun screwdrivers, cleaning materials , extra magazines and anything else that goes with this hobby. I even have bought a bunch of the tin signs that show gun ads.

I don't attribute any particular blame on my gun purchases since I joined RFC. I was afflicted when I arrived here as I assume many of you were as well. It would be pretty unusual for teatotaller to show up at a bar saying, "Well hello, what's this all about?"

However, I do give thanks (or blame) to George(NOREMF) for enticing me to fill my shop shelves with all manner of wood refinishing supplies. The hide glue, the pot to heat it in, the thermometer to measure it with, the rottenstone of many flavors, the varying grits of superfine hand pads, on and on and on...not that I've used much of it but it's fun to think about

Frank

I blame all of you on RFC. It's been a good ride.
