Tell Me About Your CZ 457 AT-One

I keep hearing some not so good reports about the 22lr At-One.
There is an At-One on a plane or truck somewhere, headed my way. Its too late. Its payed for. 24 inch barrel.

Thanks referber for hooking me up in Omaha, Nebraska.

I've waited over 6 months for one a with 24 in. barrel to show up.
I said in an earlier post this year that "Beauty is only skin deep. Ugly is to the bone".
Regardless, I'll bring it around to 1/4 inch, 50 yard groups....I hope.
This will hopefully be my 100 yd., plus gun.
Tell it all.

Please keep us up to date, they got my attentions after Signalman1 said the CZ's were a much better stock compared to the one you get off of Boyds site.

My LGS just got a 457 Atone in 22lr so they have it and a Pro Varmint. I have to say that I like the CZ Atone stock better than the one direct from Boyds. It does not have the plastic grip which gives it a much smoother feel. The Boyds is just so sharp on the edges. I have to say I really liked this gun but it felt a little nose heavy with the 24" barrel. My honest opinion it would balance better with a 20 or 21" barrel. I'm sure you will like it when you get it as it is a nice rifle and I really like the changes they made to the action.

At one

Was lucky to have local gunshop get a MTR . Good rifle. Saw At one. Same gun shop came up with 24 inch one in about a week. Impressed again . At one had 2 lb trigger pull out of box . Getting one inch groups at 50 yards with cci sv . Have not gone to better match ammo yet. Cheap. Impressive stock . Looks cool. Have been impressed with it so far. Hope you have fun . JD

Thanks, everyone so far.
I'll let everyone know how it goes.
Already ordered Burris Signature Zee rings.
JP Products adapters.

Extended mag release and Bolt knob from DIP products. All CZ's deserve these.

Have a Bushnell Nitro 6-24X50 scope. I had a scope failure on the MTR and Bushnell sent the Nitro. Originally wanted my money back. But they sent it anyway. Twice the price as the one that malfunctioned. I'll take it.

Can't wait to see what sub sonic sounds like.
Gonna shoot with bipod and rear bag.

I have a 24" At One 22lr. Initially had issues with vertical stringing. I wasn't impressed. I thought it was bedding issues. Disassembled the bolt and cleaned it thoroughly. No more vertical strings. I haven't been shooting much lately, just too hot and local range doesn't open till 10 am. Heat index over 100 by 11.
Usually shoots about 1 moa at 50 with subsonic ammo. Trigger is good and easily adjustable. May be a little front heavy but I like that.
Have not shot the gun enough to give it a real evaluation I'm afraid. Only a few hundred rounds through it and in my experience that's not enough to really season a CZ barrel. JMO
I can say though that my T1X outshoots it consistently at this point. That could change with round count.
Quarter inch at 50 consistently is a pretty tall order. Good luck.

Bill . . . glad to help out and you got the one I was going to buy . . . until I stumbled across that 457 Lux. Please wipe it down good as my fingerprints are all over that At-One. I am very interested in how this one will shoot as well. I like the looks of the "special" AtOne stock Boyds makes for CZ much better than the one that Boyd's sells on their website. I also like the looks of the 24" barrel as it has a larger diameter than the barrel on the American or Lux, but smaller in diameter than the typical 20.5" Varmint. I don't care for the looks of the 16/5" version. Enjoy . . . That stock will also support a full-sized varmint barrel (free-floated) . . . if the need ever arises to change the barrel.

If my desire for the AtOne doesn't dissipate - I'm sure I will pick one up down the road. My recent High Standard Victor project and the 457 Lux took all the financial resources for the next few months . . . but then I could trade something in the safe if needed.

Eric told me he can get his hands on more of them if needed. He has trouble getting the 17 HMR version. I find that interesting as that's about all I see available thru most internet sources.

BTW - I think a couple of the rafters in the new building need one of those new laminated (At-One) support beams. Once installed they would be hardly noticeable and only add about $630 to the overall cost of the building. (inside humor).

You've been on my Facebook page.
I've been thinking about Google Earthing you.

Thanks again for scouting out the At-One.
Thanks for the pictures.
I was able to tell Eric the serial number of the one with the prettiest laminate.

Bill

I bought a CZ AT-ONE about 1.5 months ago and it’s been phenomenal.
It’s a shooter and shoots great.
It’s a 17HMR 24 inch barrel.

I did nothing but mount a scope and a suppressor on it. And it’s a 17 HMR for shooting critters rather than pinpoint accuracy. I needed a 17hmr that was factory accurate and threaded barrel.
I had a Ruger American 17HMR and a Ruger 77/17 both Rugers were great but the CZ is a tack driver in comparison.

Thanks.
Beautiful. You got some pretty wood considering its laminated. Nice.
I hope I'm that lucky with accuracy.
