Decided to get another one

Acquired a Deluxe in HMR last year and was absolutely thrilled with it. So I decided to add one in .22LR, an IF-5 with gray-brown laminated stock. I will likely liquidate my 10/22, which is everything Volquartsen except the receiver, once this one is in hand, scoped and sighted in.

Got the different fluting so I can readily tell the difference between the two.

Nice!

I have a pair of Superlites in .17HMR and .22 WMR, they are great rifles, IMO.

Congrats!
I have a 17 wsm that could be your new additions big brother. I also have different models in 17 hmr. and 22lr. Volquartsen make quality firearms and their customer service is Top Notch! I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Thanks for sharing!

It has arrived and I finally have time to take a couple photos. With a lot of rain this weekend, the shooting part may have to wait.

Now, I am sure some are like "You put that cheap Mueller on that nice gun?"

I have had this on my 10/22 and it has been flawless. So we will see how it does with this one. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...

For the money, this scope is darn good. I don't shoot really long distance, this is a varmint-getter, I will stay within the effective range of .22 ammo. HMR gets the long shot work.

Very nice!

I found a .17 Mach 2 recently and it should be at my dealer on Thursday. It's another Superlite, so not as visually exciting as yours, but I really do like them for a walking around gun.

Got to get in some shooting. Shot off a saddle mount on a tripod; to hot to drag out the bench, do that next weekend when it will not be 93 degrees with high humidity.

The picture is the first 8 shots, CCI Standard Velocity, 25 yards. I took this scope off the 10/22 and mounted on the VQ not touching anything and this scope hasn't been adjusted in several years. First shots are to the right. Adjust scope half the distance, middle group was the result. Adjust to center, dead on. Will adjust height next time off the bench. More shooting with various ammo just to see what she likes, shot it all pretty well, favored seem to be Eley Target. Shot a couple RWS HVHP to make sure I could defend myself against any attacking ground hogs, again, shot well. I have some Eley HVHP due today, try it out next weekend.

While the gun would be expected to be this accurate, the tracking on my $124 scope is precise.

Put the gun on a front Rock rest and rabbit ear for the butt on my bench (no pics). these were at 25 yards.

It would appear I found a good target load.

The bottom rear is Eley HVHP. I think this will do for some vermin control.

Sighted the HVHP for 50 and I think I am good for now.

That's a good-looking rifle with my favorite Volquartsen "I" Fluting.
I passed on a 22 mag thumbhole in my favorite Hornet (black and yellow) stock at Whittaker Guns a few years ago.
I went back to get it the next week and it was gone!
What a fool I was! to not buy that rifle on the spot.
Especially for the $1,100.00 price.
