This can be made with either beef or pork. I have been using Boston Butt pork roast I get for only $1.59 a pound! This is for Croc Pot slow cooker and takes 5 minutes prep time.
Place roast in pot. Sprinkle all or most of an envelope of Ranch Dressing mix over meat.
Sprinkle all or most of an Au Jus gravy mix over the roast.
Half a bottle of Peppercinis on the meat. I like to get the "rings" as I don't have to mess with getting the seeds out. Pour half the juice out of the bottle in too.
5 or 6 pats of butter on top of the roast. I have made it with out the butter and it is so much better with it
Cook on high for 5-6 hours. It will be so tender the big bone in the pork roast lifts out with no meat on it! You can also cook on low for 10-12 hours. Perfect for throwing in before work and coming home to a house full of wonderful smells!
This amazing on a bun with a bit of mayo. I tried it with provolone cheese and was kind of shocked I liked it better with out but others may like it more.
The other fun thing is to fry some of the pork until it just starts to dry and use it for Carnitas tacos or burritos.
Try it once and you be looking forward to the next time.
