I've not had any feeding troubles with PMC/Aguila in either the CZ or Ruger. So far they won't group worth a dam in either one though, I mean terrible! Also gave a box to a buddy to try in his Marlin and he had the same results. I have one more barrel to try them in but I don't have high hopes.

The early ammo was in a green box while the later is in silver. Was there a change made to the ammo or just the box? Seems like I remember something about a change being made...bullet crimp problem???

Received some .17Aguila from Natchez last week and had a chance to give it try today.
Fired from my 17M2-converted 10/22, it did better than I expected. Although it printed about an inch low at 50 yards, compared to the M2 ammo, it grouped just as well. There were no feeding problems and the power level felt about the same as the Mach2 loads.
Since it is shorter than the 17M2 chamber, I had expected the Aguila brass to fire-form and lose it's shoulder profile, but the recovered cases had retained their original shape.

I like the 17 aguila better than the hm2 for squirrel hunting. I had a savage MK II GLV in hm2 that shot the aguila as accurately as the hm2 which was dime groups at 50yds. My son gave me a cooper in hm2 so I sold the savage. The cooper will not group the aguila at all. Now I have all this aguila ammo and no rifle to shoot it. I'm thinking of having a brno zom 451 lined in 17 aguila.

Has anybody heard of any damage caused by shooting .17 Aguila's in HM2 converted 10/22. Possibly damaging the chamer of the barrel w/ its different shape?

Guys,
What about the feed issue from a CZ452/455? Did the PCM fed from magazine just as good as the HM2?

Yes they should. But since this is a 10 year old thread I think the chances are slim!

If Aquila can get Stinger cases, this would be a much bigger market then 5mm.

So back during the "pause" in .17 HM2 manufacturing a few years back, I saw PMC .17 Aguila/PMC on sale, so I ordered 3,000 rounds of it - all still sitting on my shelf. I bought it to use in my CZ452 Varmint .17 HM2 if I ever ran out of .17 HM2, but then the manufacturers starting making it again.
I just put a Shaw .17 HM2 barrel on one of my 10/22s with a regular weight bolt last night (I do have 2 Volquartsen .17 HM2 Bolts). After coming across this thread and others, I decided to try this out.
I also did something else I am hoping will work out well - I ordered a .17 Aguila/PMC chambered 14" barrel from Match Grade Machine for my Thompson Contender. I have yet to try this out yet, but I will break it out when I test fire the 10/17 and see how it will shoot.

I ended up having to get a heavy bolt handle for mine. The extractors kept falling out due to the bolt speed/inertia I guess.

I have shot 17pmc out of my marlin 917, my savage 17 and my marlin 717 simi auto. I did put a hyper velocity recoil spring in it for a model 60/795. It shoots it just fine and it feeds well too. The groups do open up just a little, but it's for hunting, not paper punching. I have 6,500 rounds of the stuff. It works in all my hm2 rifles that I've shoot it from. I'm going to try it in my new savage À17HM2 as well. I expect no problems from it either.
