I was getting lunch at Firehouse Subs today and caught a glimpse of a guy walking past and swore I read his name followed by a CZ on his shirts nametag. He came back through and sure enough it did.
I asked him if that was a nickname or he was really into CZ guns but he said it was just his last actual name. It is pronounced just like CZ is, See Zee. All these cool guns and he has his name plastered on them, how neat.

That could make it really tough to resist giving the kids model number names. Not quite as bad as a boy named Sue I suppose..

I heard that the Pencilist was thinking of having his name legally changed to CZ.

Well, you could name them "Scout" and "Varmint"

And I bet that "Scout" would be the runt of the family and "Varmint" is the over-eater.

Well, an Aussie always pronounces it "See Zed."
You guys all sound funny calling it "See Zee."

You sound funny with everything you say. But so do U.S. southerners and New Englanders.

Actually, the more I think about it, I'm about the only one here that doesn't sound funny. There's a reason you all are typing on the internet instead of being on the radio or TV.

.....

I'm from Virginia, and get accused of sounding too "Northern" for here. I've lived some other places, but not long enough for their sound to rub off. Some people say I sound like the Motel 6 guy, Tom Bodett. Some say Tommy Lee Jones. I emailed Bodett about it, and actually got his personal reply. He said he felt sorry for me.....

My Occaisionally Better Half is from VA too, but sounds more like Georgia........

Hmmm... As in, "Get 'em up, Scout." Or "That blasted varmint!" I think maybe CZ FS would be good. And short. Nicknames? And Special would really be special.

Or Style and Lux if they were girls. I actually wanted to name the youngest Woodrow but the wife beat me to the birth certificate. Kids don't know how lucky they were. Well, the youngest one does.
