My BIL has a business that cleans out homes that have been foreclosed on or abandoned. So I asked him to keep an eye out for firearm stuff. So the other day he comes over with this wooden box. The leather handle is gone but the latch works. Opened it up and found 22 rounds. They look clean. Have not poured them out to see what the bottom ones look like. The top ones look clean enough to fire. So by looking at the pictures what do you guys think. They all seem to have the same headstamp (T). Don't know the manufacturer.

So it looks like I can't upload pictures. I could before?

Yes it does look like that. They are dumped in an old wooden ammo box I will try to post pictures. Are they any good? They don't seem to have any corrosion on them. But I haven't seen the ones on the bottom yet.20200503_130757.jpg20200503_130833.jpg20200503_131224.jpg

I'm a risk taker. Let 'em fly.

But in a revolver first.

From the looks of that wooden box it certainly hasnít been stored in ideal conditions. I wouldnít shoot it in one of my good rifles but Iíve got a beater that I would take a chance with. Just for plinking.

If youíve got a beater/plinker, go for it. Itís 22lr , so I highly doubt itís going to bulge a barrel or cause a catastrophic failure.

Yep. But on the other hand be careful... it could be squib-city.

Ditto, keep track of your shots and revolvers rarely squib in my experience

I'd run them through the tumbler for a few hours first.

Tromping through the woods as a kid, I found many .22 lr rounds, some that were dark brown and had spent at least a few winters under snow. More often than not, they fired.

I believe that "T" is the "seeker" headstamp from the phillipines. Could be 80s production... maybe armscore. I bought a few bricks of seeker as a kid in the mid 80s. Yellow boxes with red lettering and copper washed. Nothing special, but I remember bulging cases a bit in my semi auto, but I would plink cans with it. Maybe use em up in a pump or bolt gun.

Tumbler and revolver sounds like good advice. They will all probably shoot fine. I really like the wood ammo can. Very cool!

I surely wouldn't but then again some might say I'm an ammo snob because I don't buy Rem, Fed, or Winchester ammo.
