Tusker Lager. I bought a bottle of it way back in the 80s. I tried a swig and it was like drinking water from a hose on a hot summer day. The vinyl taste was horrible. I couldn't believe it tasted that bad so I took another swig. Tasted the same so I poured it out. My son still remarks on how he had never seen me pour out a fresh beer.

33 beer

33 beer in VN. The first sip was bad and it got worse as you stirred up the sludge in the bottom of the bottle. Kept yer teeth together to strain out the large solids.

Those rusty cans of Black Label were rare and desirable when I first got there. Seems like it was a nickel a can. Once got in on a case of Coors delivered by a friend of the det. Commander.

Pernod Absinthe, YUCK

The old Rebel Yell Bourbon (apparently there is someone who bought the name and makes decent liquor). Cheapest bourbon we could find on a road trip to NOLA for Mardi Gras in 1969. I still get a hangover just thinking about it!

The original Moxie soda that you can still sometimes find in places like New England.

Carbonated cod liver oil. That pretty much describes it.

Vodka, I don't know how the Russians drink that stuff straight. You can just about top off your E85 in the tank with a bottle and get improved engine performance.
