Sad commentary isn't it.

Here, they detained several hunnert protesters tonight for curfew violations on a bridge going over to W Dallas. It was a catch & release operation and a bit of a PR grandstanding attempt as well, sending the wrong message, IMHO. They should have been booked & made to make bail, if they could. Caught red handed breaking the law and intentionally at that, should have resulted in a clear and level enforcement that was followed all the way thru with to the end. It wasn't.

More pallets of bricks mysteriously appeared sometime today around the 121 & 75 exchange in Plano. Last I heard was the authorities were wrestling w/how to best get them removed!! It ain't rocket science; Know whot I mean, Vern?

Yes Sir...

Glenn, Prayers for you Sir.

So much of what's going on points to an organized plan to disrupt, and so many just will not see it as that. Anymore and I'll be getting Political, but none of this benefits the right...none of it.

Radar was clean and now its not with a red hearted cell and hail warning flags are up. I can hear the uncalled for rain beating on the roof while hoping our garage sheetrock isn't in the back of a pickup for this morning's Finn enterprise. Lotsa noise with bright flashes. Early morning rioters have big fireworks or....?

Buttoning, shaving, putting on gloves, tying shoes and a host of other things lead me to believe this as I`m having real trouble doing these things daily. An MRI proved me wrong. The operation will take up to 12 hours with up to 10 days in hospital for recovery. Three to six months before I can return to work with possible two years for full recovery. Physio will start two months after operation. I do not have a choice. Vacation, sick time, and medical will cover this.
Going to miss gardening this year and maybe a hunting season or two, waterfowl mostly.
So, there ya have it. Was working up until last week. Just a little anxious now.

Canuck
Good Fortune on your procedure.

Seems to be the season for it unfortunately, Prayers all goes well.

I got a hair cut last Friday, Wife says the chin hair will be staying or I'm in trouble.
Some of you guys may laugh but I got a Pedicure (usually get one every 6-7 weeks, haven't had one in 5 months due to Covid and preceding problems), man my feet like me again. Now if I can find out what the Cardiologist and Surgeon have planned we can get on with this show, Lord knows I'm ready.
Chin hair? POIDH.

I just had surgery 2 weeks ago putting a rod in my right humerus, cancer again. They took good care of me but I told them I wanted to go home same day, wife is a nurse so she could take care of me. Sounds like you will have a much more intensive surgery.

Here is my newest hardware.
I'm learning to detest having metal implanted in my body.
Sorry to hear you needed that.

Off to the hopital soon for a lung function check, preliminary to "pulmonary rehab", whatever that may be.

The Covid test (required, as I shall be un-masked in their territory) is rightly named the "brain tickler". My older boy has been designing and building testing trailers for the NG, so they can do mass tests at, f'r'instance, nursing homes, and says that if the swab they approach with isn't at least 5" long, it's the "bad" test with lots of false negatives. The brain tickler is the way to go.

And No, I'm not ashamed to say that I hated every millisecond of it.

Come a Storm.

A Tropical Depression, forecast to become a storm is South of the Gulf of Mexico.

It might come this way.

Dawn has cracked here on a partly cloudy sky & not uncomfortable day that will likely be hotter than yesterday. We might be gifted a shower, come the afternoon. We could use it.

Locally, its fairly quiet in Dallas this morning, but trouble in Arlington earlier w/a Wal-Mart being broken into and electronics being stolen by protesting looters and reported other businesses like jewelry stores and a pawn shop also broken into and looted. Headlines are continued ugly, mostly in places outside the state.

I keep finding myself thinking back on the history surrounding the Spanish/American war, the sinking of the Maine and William Randolph Hurst w/his sensationalist press having stirred up enough ugly public sentiment to start a war over questionable circumstances and events being twisted.. to best suit his agenda.

And then the old divide & conquer routine, presently being fueled by misinformation, pent up frustration(s) on multiple levels & multiple players w/differing agendas, but all ultimately centered on.. power/$$ & control. Of course, it is! Doh!

End of morning history reflection(s).

Yard werk to do, early. Need to go by the bank, make some groceries, pick up monthly meds, do some further sorting, get a haircut some day, avoid people no longer taking precautions of any sort or who may wish being confrontational; I can spot the former easy enough, but the latter are a little harder, except when in mobs that I intend to avoid. Be kind. Remember that just because I need a haircut doesn't make it a bad hair day.
