If anyone has a 6.5-20x40 efr leupy they don't need, I'm a player.
don't have one of those scopes, but yes, you need to take that one out for some good range time.

Artos the scope on my rifle is an older Leupold 6.5-20 EFR with fine crosshair and target dot. Seems like a good combination.
Your 40X is a real looker. I have always liked the tight tiger stripe stocks since my days shooting muzzle loaders! I bet yours will shoot as good as it looks!
Mine was lightly used when I got it so no worry about putting the first marks on it. My plan is to take it Jackrabbit hunting one of these days soon. Open sage country so hopefully it wont get beat up to bad. I will have to use a sling also because for a sporter these rifles are heavy.

Artos and Hush--- Absolutely beautiful rifles. When I saw Hush's rifle, I thought, Dang--that's a really great piece of wood! Then I saw yours, and I thought, Dang---that's a REALLY great piece of wood All I can say is Wow!!--you guys are very fortunate to have such great looking (AND great shooting) 40X's. I just have a lowly CMP 40XB, she's pretty beat up but she has shot 2200's on the ARA target. Well, maybe I did it once or twice (the 2200's)! Still feels pretty good that a beat up 40X can still get'er done once in awhile. Hey Artos--A side benefit to owning this CMP 40X is I really don't have to worry about dinging the stock.

40x

I have heavy barrel CMP 40x in USMC M40 stock and Weaver T24 . It really amazes me at how well , they shoot . It just points at that at one time a rifle built by Americans , working to feed and raise a family built the best product you could own . I’m afraid this has really past with time , now it seems to be the standards are really a bit lower to make many Americans happy .

I have a 6.5X20 EFR on my 40X HB and a 3X9 EFR on my 40X sporter for hunting. The 6.5X20 is a excellent choice.

Thanks fellas, I also have a 40x KS sporter & an Anschutz fwt I need to play with as well...I have an available 3-9 efr & a 4.5-14ao that may get down to 50 but would prefer more muscle.

I'll have to go through & see what I may be able to swap if I can't locate one...I do have a 45x but it's on the 6BR. Maybe I'll look for a 36x if the 20efr doesn't surface.

Have you guys tried the Bausch and Lomb 4000/4200 6-24 scopes? I have a couple and I would put their glass up against the Leupy's any time... Usually a bit cheaper also... I found several on ebay in a quick search...

I have looked at them but have not owned one yet. They do look good and have a good reputation.

Hush’, a BIG ‘Congrats’ on your acquisition of the 40XB Sporter! Absolutely beautiful rifle and very nicely ‘balanced’ wood figure on both the LH and RH sides.... Very, very nice!

Those ‘bunnies’ are gonna be quite NERVOUS!!! 😉

There's one for sale in RFC classified ads. $600 out of Pennsylvania, seller named Ruger10_0.
