RIP Jon P

I was in the local gun store today and learned of the recent passing of RFC member Jon P//Jon Pierce. The last time I spoke with him he said that he had his hands full taking care of his wife who had recently fallen and broken her kneecap. He said now he had some new health issues and was going to see his doctor later that week. He died on 9-15 at age 74.

He discovered that he needed a liver transplant, which he refused. Now about 6 weeks later, he is dead. Good guy, Viet Nam Vet, loved to shoot his rimfires, especially older 22 pump rifles. And of course he had his fair share of Nylons of various descriptions and styles, including a CBC Nylon 66 clone from Brazil I sold him with honor to fill out his collection.

RIP Buddy, hope all your rounds are in the 10 ring.

Jon

P and I shared the same interest in .22's - JC Higgins Model 30. Sent me some info on them. Never met the man, like so many of you here. Always a pleasure to talk with.

Condolences to his family. RIP Jon.
