BHP, for a semi. It fits my hands perfectly and I like having the manual safety. It points very naturally for me and gets on target quickly and accurately. For a revolver it's my Colt Detective Special 3rd edition. I just like holding it.

well for self defense I can't go wrong with my XDM9: 19 round capacity, great trigger, great ergos(IMO), awesome recoil management despite those much maligned high bore axis and dead reliable design.

for concealed carry I would not pack anything but my XDM45 compact if I could work out my carry options with it. for now though it serves as a woods gun with distinction.

for a competition gun I wouldn't mind an XDM 5.25 with a powder river precision trigger.

and for a range toy I wouldn't mind a Sig 226 in 9mm...just for fun of course

I have a couple handguns that are on the brink of being my favorite, but they need a mod or two to get there.

This December, I'll just say my old 6" Ruger GP100 is my favorite.

Merry Christmas, y'all.

I've got an Auto Ordnance Tommy Gun. It's a hoot with a 50 round drum. Not a handgun tho, . . , so drifting we a go.

They do make a pistol version with an aluminum frame.

I don't recall a handgun variant of Ma Deuce.

It was hard to narrow it down, but my absolute favorite handgun is the Remington XP-100 in various calibers. Being a lefty shooter, the right-handed bolt is perfect for me. The most favorite XP-100 is this one, converted to .22LR.

Other favorites are the TC Contender, also in many flavors, this one in .375 Winchester.

Can't forget the Anschutz Exemplar.

Favorite centerfire revolver, out of many from the same maker, a Dan Wesson in .41 Magnum.

Favorite rimfire revolver, Freedom Arms 252.

Favorite centerfire pistol, Colt Delta Gold Cup in 10mm.

Favorite rimfire pistol, Browning Buckmark Silhouette.

Since I am relatively new to shooting my guns are all pretty new; nothing vintage unfortunately.

Current favorites:

S&W Model 63
S&W Model 617 6"
S&W Mode; 586 6"

Favorite revolver I don't have because it isn't made, as far as I know, would be a S&W exactly like the Model 63 only .22 magnum.
