My son just picked this up over the weekend#00017 WE aug 58 ? Trigger only has one adjustment a small screw through the top of it. What does he have? This is a 37 After looking at the dates agan it appears to be 1936 .That's what i get for staying up to late.

Model 37

Your photos did not make the trip. I doubt that it is '36 as I always thought the first year of production was '37.

With a serial number of 17, yes it's one of the first ones made......in 1936.

Hopefully it is all original. Folks will be along to pass on more info in due time. If you get help with detailed pics that will be very helpful.

Take care,

Greg

If the serial # is truly 00017, it is a first iteration and the stock should have a barrel band near the end of the forearm. Unfortunately, at that age, the trigger really isn't adjustable if all information given to me is correct. Pictures would be very helpful and would get better information on your rifle. Regardless, the old 37s were/are fine rifles and I am sure you will get great pleasure with it at the range. Enjoy!
