Firefly Bolt - aluminum?

I presume the FFly bolt is made of Aluminum? Titanium? Can someone confirm this?

A guy on U-tube weighed his, and it was less that half the weight of a standard bolt,
but he did not say what the FFly was made from.

Judging by the price of it, it might be Kryptonite!

Thanks for any help! Joe

I always thought it was aluminum. VQ had some on closeout a while back. Wirthwein has some blems that had bad letting on them for a lower price. The VQ price was less than this, but I think their shipping was kind of high. Wirthwein is free over $49.

I bought one of the blems, it cycles fine. But the CCI Quiet is not very accurate, at least in my set up. A simple OEM Carbine, that shot pretty good with a standard bolt. You need 1000 FPS or less ammo, and most of the accurate ammo I have is more than that. Iím gonna try it with cb longs and shorts, and then maybe put in a stronger spring from a Kidd handle and see if it will shoot CCI subsonic , 1050 FPS, and CCI SV 1070 FPS. So far itís been interesting , but not satisfying.

Scott Volquartsen says -

"It is machined from aluminum and then Type III hard anodized."

Kind of fingered that's what it were. Hope it holds up from pounding the end of the barrel!

I shot quiets for groups once out of a CZ 452 and wasn't really blown away by the accuracy either.
