I think shooting a group that good would do terrible things to one's concentration for the next group. Impressive.

Hadn't shot for 2 weeks, been having some sort of monsoon. Shot 3 this morning, first 2 not good, then had it together for awhile before the wheels came off. I shoot facing south snd the sun got a little intense. Anyway it 's the first tme I ever shot 2 in a row without an 8.
I should try the 50 yard with you guys, you all make it look good.
Cheers. Jake

Jake, your targets and your post format look very nice. You may want to edit your score and "X" count into the top of the format if you think this might become your entry, makes it easier for Bob to enter at the end of the month. Love to see a picture of the rifle too, I will look in the picture section.

Saw your pictures there; very nice. Does that sight on your 39A interfere with your grip at all?

I just overlooked the score, planned to put it in. My right wrist was pretty well wrecked about 50 years ago so I couldn't put my thumb over the top if I tried. Not a problem really. I always plan to shoot the marlin but it is so much different than the winchester that I get all balled up. I have been doing this 25 yard offhand with the 63 for about 3 years using a 50 yd bullseye pistol target center and using the x ring as a 10 ring. An easier target than the one we are shooting now. I have run about 12000 rds thru the 63 doing this so I do get a little po'ed when I screw up.
Just being part of this deal has really improved my shooting, I, and I don't think I am the only one, get lazy spells and just don't try hard enough. Got a little windy, your lucky I can 't type better. Cheers. Jake

I have shot my 39A here a few times, great rifle, but not a target rifle and my score reflects it. Wish I could get a set with no 8's, my groups are better, but getting poor shots from target panic/snatching the trigger.
