You might take a look at Kruger.

If you luck out, you may have a sales office near your location. If so, zero shipping cost. Otherwise the shipping kills you.

Nov match?

Greetings,

Since I am new here, I'm not sure about procedures.
Does the Nov match start automatically, or does someone say "go" ?
We're supposed to get three big rainstorms (and one is going on right now) the first week of Nov, so I'm nervous about running out of time.

Thanks

Just kidding, it opens the first day of the month all by itself. Any score shot during November can be used as a valid Nov entry.
Thanks for shooting with us Merle !

OK, thanks for the "GO".
Looks like I'll be dodging a lot of rain, so a head start will help.....

Hi Eric,
Sorry I didn't see your post til I started working on the scoreboards today...
Nah, I just mix it up because I have a lot of both the Aguila & CCI. The Ag is their cheap stuff, the Std Vel SESV. They have several other loads they call SESV, this is the 180/case stuff. When I put the two Kimbers on the bench and did a head to head with both ammos in each gun, the CCI SV comes out just a little ahead at 50yds, but I see no visible difference at 25. The CCI does burn cleaner, but being a "Scandahoovian" I kinda like the fishy smell of the Eley primer in the Aguila's.

Now do my O/H results change from one to the other > Nope, i'm not that good

Another month of great shooting by the RFC Offhand Gang.
Some close races , and some good personal improvements which is what this is all about.
And did I mention we have FOUR new match members this month !!?
If you haven't already, please give a welcome to SavagePlinker, Merle, Finn39, & Richard Cox.

My hat is off to all of you Stand-Up Marksmen, you are a rare breed !

I am going to have to shoot better. The problem is I think around 480 is the top of my physical capabilities.

Get out of that north Texas wind and I'm sure you'll pick up another five points!

Note: I called this gun a rascal last month, today I looked at the barrel and it's really a CUB. Sorry for the miss identification.

******25 yard Scope ENTRY for November ******
Score : 470-13X
Date: 11-07-18
Shooter: Kirby
Rifle : Ruger 10/22 Custom
Stock: Bell & Carlson Odyssey 2-way
Scope: Sightron 4-12X40 @12X
Ammo : Blazer
Scores : 95-4X, 93-3X, 95-4X, 91-1X, 96-1X
Weather : mid 60’s , cloudy , variable winds .

Got a chance to buy another B&C Odyssey stock at a good price and jumped on it . These things are frustrating to fit . I spent hours on this one , but now it fits and shoots great for me . Love the feel of this rifle offhand .
I shot one of my better scores in spite of a brain fart on target 4 , where my left hand jerked left just as I squeezed the trigger and sent my first shot out into the 6 ring . And I had six 8’s . I’ll be shooting this rifle again soon . May put a stronger scope on it . Kirby

Sunday 25 yard iron sight practice 11/4/18
Score: 455-7X
Name: 72coupe/Roy Woodman
Location: Wichita Falls, Tx
Gun: Remington 513T
Setup: As issued except for the rear sight
Ammo: Norma Match
Individual target scores: 90-2X, 93-1X, 86-1X, 91-1X, 96-2X one 7, ten 8s
Notes: It should have been a good day for shooting but my vision was not helping me out. It was as if I had a heavy coat of Vaseline on my glasses but I wasn't wearing any. It was the same way Saturday in the highpower match I shot in. I shot a 455 in that also.

Roy,
Have you been checked for cataracts- that was the same symptoms I had when I developed them. Came on surprisingly fast in my case. I had R eye fixed and its clear now, but L eye is getting bad, I need to go have that one done too
Cheers
Bob

Shot this set on the 4th, my best scope attempt in a while.
Set had 4-8s and 1-7. I am working hard to analyze my shots that go awry. Espec when I am having an otherwise good day when my BH is a 9 or 10. Whether it's overholding/forcing the shot, or blinking, or poor F/T, I am trying to correct those technique flaws.

I find my best weapon against these things is to just lower the gun, take a few relaxed breaths, and start the shot over. Then to relax, mount the rifle, and be mentally prepared to take the first good 10 that appears in the sights.

Now if I can just make myself stick to that 50 times in a row, it'll be magic !
