Quick show of hands as to how many here are going to want this SBRed to the 350mm barrel length vs. how many want to leave it with the longer barrel, and how many are going to want a can for it similar in external appearance to the real SV-99 can?

We're talking about this one, correct?

Short Barreled Rifles are not currently legal in Alabama so I vote no on the SBR but yes on the can.

2 1/4" shouldn't make that much difference in appearance, I wouldn't think.

What is the diameter and length of the can? One option could be to leave the barrel at 16" and have a faux end cap and the actual threaded endcap recessed the 2 1/4" inside the tube. Then it would give the appearance of a 13.75" barrel without having to get two tax stamps, if the can is long enough to absorb this 2"+ and still have adequate suppression.

I'm only speaking for myself but the most important item for me is the stock. If I could get the optic, that would be a plus too.

Thanks for all the work you've done on this project.

Paul

I would vote for the standard 19 1/2 BB with a fake can to cover the last 6 of barrel.

Well, I already have 3 suppressors (with more on the way) and my current BB is already suppressed so I just need the stock as well.

However, I can see spending $200 (plus 'smithing) to make a 3rd BB into a SBR to be as close to the original as possible.

Getting a to ship a complete firearm north of the border is more paperwork then I would care to do...

But the stock certainly has my attention!

Guys...just a heads-up that these will most likely be complete guns. At least initially.

Well that's a bit disappointing news. Don't think I would be interested in a complete rifle. Stock yes.

Darn, I'd only be interested in the stock as mine currently has a broken stock and I can't even get a plain stock. $.02

Sorry John, but the reality is that the action itself is only a small part of the cost of putting these together. All I can say is for everyone to wait for the details and then make-up your mind. Due to the expense and time involved these will more than likely be a limited run item or be available on a limited basis (meaning....there will be some available and then who knows when more will be available if ever). So let's just wait and see what I can workout.

Sv-99

i was interested in 2x stocks & maybe the scopes , but as to a whole rifle probably not , as I donot live in the US , at the moment its too expensive & lenghtly to export due to price increases on just getting the US export permit .

Later Chris
