Where Can I Get A Biathlon Basic?

I know RAA is the importer, but who sells them? What is the best place to go through. I have wanted one for years and really have the itch right now.

I am hoping EAA picks all of this Russian stuff back up. They were alot easier to get a hold of then.

Try MT Guns in Santa Barbara, CA. The basic lists there at $400.

Russian American Armory

Contact the Russian American Armory by email.
And, ask them what distributor has the BI-7-2 instock.
Or, have your local gun dealer contact RAA for instructions on where or how to obtain a BI-7-2.

Chinook,
I lucked onto one of these at a local gun shop and am I glad I did. Yesterday was the first time I shot it and WOW am I impressed. This is hands down the most accurate 22 rifle I've ever owned. It consistently shot .50" groups at 50 yards with Fedearl Classic 40 gr solids. When you find one of these I think you'll be impressed too.

Nice gun!

Mine arrived today (from MT Guns), and it is NICE. Super smooth action, light trigger, balances well, and wood looks very decent.

I can't wait to shoot it

How about posting some pictures of your new rifle?

My new Biathlon Basic is in the California 10-day wait period, as soon as I get it out and shoot some groups I'll post pics.

Some BB pics, first day out

Took the BB out for its first shoot today:

It shoots pretty well, I was getting quarter sized 5-shot groups with CCI Blazer 22 at 50 yards. I need to try more ammo and find what it likes best. With some good target ammo it should tighten up a bit.

What do you guys find shoots best in it?

I can't speak for the BB, but with my Vostok Ural, it seems to really like the CCI Blazer 22 ammo a lot. I pull consistent 1.25" 5 shot groups at 100 yards with it, with several groups below an inch. I'm anxious to try some match ammo in it as all I've shot so far is bulk ammo. At 50 yards I've got several .3" groups with both the Blazer and bulk Winchester ammo from Wal-mart. Once again, with some good ammo I'm sure I can do a lot better(and also when I get the scope mount for it as I'm shooting with the stock sights). Nice rifle by the way.
