Springfield 187M firing pin?

Log in to see fewer ads
Hello everyone. I have been looking for an original or replacement firing pin for my Springfield 187M .22 semi-auto rifle for around 6 months now...with zip-point-zero luck. Why in the world would Savage/Stevens make so many different 187 models? Prefix after prefix. On top of that, why tool up for another firing pin of such bad design for the same rifle? Crazy. ANYWAY, I was looking at the 187M firing pin conversion on Gun Parts Corp's website, which is out of stock (of course) and my question is...what 187 prefix does that conversion come from? Would it be possible to substitute another prefix's hammer and firing pin for the 187M that would interchange? Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your ttime everyone. Kimbo.

Have you called GPC? Not everything is always listed. And they're pretty helpful. I once took a pic of the bad part and traced around how it should look. They sent the right part first try.
