I'm going to get a RS22 for Father's Day. So mapping out my to buy list I noticed the Promag mags for the 702 plinkster we're about $7 cheaper.

Do they work as good and as durable? Or is it penny wise & pound foolish?

I bought a couple for my mossberg plinkster. They looked good but they weren't reliable. I sent them back to Promag for a trade of mags for a marlin rifle. I bought more factory mags.

I bought 3 Promag, had to significantly rework them to get them to work. Filed down the lips and the mag follower. Still not reliable, might shoot whole mag one time and then FTF after 2 rounds. Never had a problem with Mossberg or Rossi mags. It was not worth the lower price in the end.

Thanks for the warnings. I'll stick to the OEM.
