Smile Grip screw trigger adjuster

I found this JoeBob's AR15 Grip Screw Trigger Adjuster with optional KVW reduced power trigger spring kit at Joe Bob's website. Purchased together the 2 kits are $14.95-dirt cheap, but made in USA. The screw requires the grip be drilled and tapped all the way through to work.
Has anyone tried this? I have a 15-22 coming from PSA in a few weeks and would like to be ready to work on the trigger. I also have received a Munstrom S330P (3 power) from Amazon for this build. BTW although this is an inexpensive prism scope it is bright and incredibly clear edge to edge with a circle/dot reticle etched in the glass which can be illuminated red or green.
Anyway what about the trigger modification?

I did the trigger mod to two of my 15-22's before I ended up installing CMC triggers in them. I didn't buy a kit, just used a 1/4-28 set screw in the grip screw hole. The hole did have to be tapped all the way, no problem in the polymer receiver. I did have to shorten the grip screw slightly for it to tighten securely. I ended up with a very nice, crisp 4 1/2# pull which was very shootable. I only put the CMC units in to get to 3#.

I intend to try that grip screw mod. the only thing I would add is that I put the JP yellow 3.5 trigger springs in my 15-22 and it dropped the trigger pull right to 3.5#.
