I have an old model Bearcat with the gold color trigger guard, that is in bad shape. Will the newer blued steel ones fit in my old model?
Thanks

From what I understand, they will. New blued part number is PR-3, the old blued part number was PR-3B. I think the gold was PR-3G. It wouldn't hurt to call Ruger and ask to be sure. You can order the part at the same time. The online manual actually doesn't list it as factory fit only; one of the few that aren't now.

Ruger New Hampshire (603) 865-2442

Older Bearcats have either steel or aluminum frames, and the trigger guard matched the frame material. If yours has the steel frame, a new guard should be a reasonable match in color.

I sent Ruger an e-mail. They won't give me any info or sell me any parts until I send in the gun for the safety modifications.
My frame is alloy.
Thanks

They add the transfer bar parts. I hope they made it clear that they DO return the original parts to you. I have two stainless New Bearcats, the trasfer bar doesn't change anything about how they are operated. My Bearcats are my favorite guns.
