199-14x

Savage/Anschutz Model 64
Redfield Olympic sights
Harris Bi-Pod & Protextor rear bag
SK Rifle Match ammo
White Center A23/5 targets
Sunny and 12-15 mph wind.
50-4x, 49-2x, 50-4x & 50-4x = 199-14x

I shot a lot and all the other targets were worse. Last spring I brought my Martini 12/15 up to Massachusetts to live and this fall brought the Savage/Anschutz back to Florida to live. The ammo I used today had spent the summer in the shed, so exposed to summer heat. I have other ammo that lives in the house and will try and remember to break that out and use it next time.

Hillsdale Range 10-27-2018

200/14X, DInghram, Kansas
Remington 513T 1946, Redfield 75 rear, Redfield 63 front, CCI SV
Sinclair Varmint windage adjust, Edgewood front, Edgewood std rear
Wx was beautiful, 72 degrees with light wind about 4-7 mph
1. 50/4X 2. 50/2X 3. 50/3X 4. 50/5X
I have not had this rifle for very long. It has a case colored bolt and all the wear on it has been by me in the last couple of months. It is easy to see that it has gone all these years and not been shot until now. It and I are getting used to each other and I am learning how to shoot it as well. Also, yesterday I had the privilege to shoot an old Winchester 52 from 1933, which shot very well. The Remington moves a little at the shot, but the Winchester pretty much just stayed put. I have considered buying a better rifle to shoot with iron sights, but doubt if I could shoot anything any better than this old Remington. I have tried a few other types of ammo like SK RM and Wolf ME, but the rifle says get that outta here, it just wants this lot of CCI SV. Thankfully, I have a case of it.

Florida, Sebastian Public Range, 10/29/18

Savage/Anschutz Model 64
Redfield Olympic sights
Harris Bi-Pod & Protextor rear bag
Eley bulk CMP ammo
White Center A23/5 targets
Sunny and 5-10 mph wind.
50-2x, 50-3x, 50-3x & 50-3x = 200-11x
50-3x, 50-3x, 50-3x & 50-4x = 200-13x

And with Lapua Center X ammo
50-5x, 50-4x, 50-5x & 50-3x = 200-17x

Edit to comment on good scores, a lot has to do with light wind. Heavy wind, which we have most of the time and I really struggle and almost always one is outside the 10 ring. I can't seem to get myself to put out and use the wind flags. Having shot IR50/50 years ago with 5 -7 wind flags, I know how big a difference they can make.

David, your scores nearly mirror my results when shooting the CMP Eley bulk followed by Center-X. Always a higher "X" count as it should be. Nice shooting.
