This is not really a Russian rifle but I would say it has a lot in common with the biathlon basic it appears to be based on.

Larsen has been making biathlon components, slings, sights and more over time. Now it appears they have gone all in on rifles.

There is a video on fb with the trigger group and receiver up close. The Larsen sights I am using are really nice and well made. I expect these rifles will be quality, but will reserve my opinion until I can put some time in with one. It is a from scratch brand new rifle.

So entry level biathlon toggle rifles are on the horizon.
Let's cross our fingers that Altius and the rest of the import gang can bring a bunch of these over for us.

Larsen Biathlon is not Schultz and Larsen, it is a specialist biathlon shop that is amazingly branching into rifle making. You can't stop Norwegians from doing something hard to do. The rifle appears similar to the 7-4, but the receiver, bolt and trigger group appear to be re-engineered. The trigger group has a completely different mechanism. The receiver looks to be milled. The bolt appears to operate the same way the 7-4 does. I have no idea how well they shoot, but the king of biathlon was shooting one in a shoot-off video I saw and he was flawless with it. (yes there is a king of biathlon, recently retired, still the king)
