howdy folks,

been lurking here for a week or so now, studying up on how i want to spend my greenbacks. i was dead set on building a camping/backpacking/truck gun very similar to infamous j's backpacker. then i had to go & stumble upon the archangel marauder/nomad.

the best solution i can come up with is build both. but i can only afford one at the moment. im sure the bc folder w/ rails would be much more practical, but the marauder is way too cool.

even though i dont really have any questions, any input while i continue to mull it over is appreciated. i figured you guys would be much more understanding of my plight than the wife is, she's no help at all.

You answered it for your self. Just do it one at a time.

All you have to do is figure out which to do first.

Build one such as the Back Packer, then purchase a second stock.

It's just like deciding which pair of boots to put on in the morning; is it cold and rainy outside or hot n sunny? :-)

seems like the marauder would make a find back pack gun, just fold the stock and there you go. Good luck, I bought my 10/22 thinking I would make it into a target gun. Then I saw that to have a good target gun I basically needed to build it from parts rather than actually buying a 10/22. So now I have the marauder kit on it's way.

I've had a 10/22 with a Butler Creek folder on it for quite a few years. I just recently acquired the UTG quad rail for it, which added a lot of functional rails and also upped the looks. I've also added a UTG bipod and will be updating the RDS.

I am very happy with the performance of the BC folder stock, however, I still want to give an Archangel or Marauder a try sometime
