The length adjustable folding stock would be a REALLY nice accessory to the Nomad-kit.

FDE marauder (nomad) would be awesome....accents or not. Adjustable stock or not.....I just can't justify another "black rifle" and have been on the fence regarding a boyd's tan tacticool for the one receiver I still have in need of a proper home. I really like the "nomad" and if it were in FDE it would certainly push my buttons. In FDE it is no longer a "black" rifle!

Very cool!! OD would be neat as well. What kind of cost was involved in applying the Cerakote

man that looks great. I just ordered one of these in black. Might have to try my hand at some paint work.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I think it's my favorite look so far. I still have another kit in black just in case I want to switch it back over. The Cerakote finish cost $100, but I wanted to do it right the first time. Another type of coat might scratch and reveal the black color underneath. Duracoat might be an alternative that provides a good finish and a DYI project. You can get the Shake N' Spray kits for $30 on Duracoat's website. Anyhow, the $100 Cerakote finish consisted of a shop here in town sandblasting and preparing and masking the surface prior to coating, so quite a bit of labor is involved in that price.

that looks sweet. I would consider getting one depending on cost.

Should we mold everything in desert tan, or only certain components?

Should I leave the sights and recoil pad black?

I won't be able to have the controls or rails remain black...

Give me some feedback.... I'm about to drop the hammer....

I think a lil bit of black looks good.

And just a lil FYI, the shake n' Spray Duracoated does not spray all that good... I'd stick with an airbrush, you get a better spray pattern and consistency.

I'm a big two-tone fan, so I'd obviously suggest as much of the black accents as possible within the constraints you'll be up against during the molding process, but that's just me. Obviously, keeping all of the hardware black would help add that nice accent I prefer.

Punisher, thanks so much for the feedback! We are actually a Duracoat dealer, but we haven't placed an initial order and we're not sure if we will. The Shake N' Spray kit looked like a good bang for your buck without the need for the extra equipment like an airbrush and compressor, but you just confirmed what I suspected would be the case from a $30 DYI solution.

I know the Cerakote finish we did was not cheap, but considering that someone else sandblasts, preps, masks and paints/bakes the finish, there's probably not a better route for the strength of the Cerakote finish. This Marauder doesn't even feel like it's made of polymer anymore. If any of you guys are interested in having your Marauder done like ours, feel free to call Corey at Rogue Tactical Coatings 541-840-9688. Our Marauder was the first one they did and the masking process was more involved than they originally anticipated, so the pricing I mentioned earlier might not be firm. Besides, there's going to be shipping costs to think about.
