remington metal buttplate

found a metal REMINGTON butt plate..grooved with like stippling top end and bottom end... 4 3/4" long 1 1/2" wide...stamped boxed ALCOA G4 over C-18378 on back side..slightly curved..any thoughts?? 37..40X...other

Late 50's early 60's 721-722 or early 60's 700 butt plate.

Remington 700 aluminum butt plate, last used about 1967.
