Gsg 1911 SAC slide alignment cone or new barrel

I picked up a browning buckmark, and in ten days I will have a ruger sr22.

Love my gsg, and will be putting in a first strike firing pin this week. In an effort to get accuracy a little tighter to compete with my new hand guns a little better. I am thinking of purchasing a new threaded barrel (CA model) with SAC cone. Estimated cost $75 or getting a steel barrel from CWA, estimated cost $150.

Anyone have experience with either?

I use CW's accuracy kit not with a new bbl and works really well. Not going to give my Ruger MK1 or S&W 617 worries but close.

Thank you for the response. I already purchased the barrel and new slide with bushing. I was not able to purchase a threaded barrel in CA to cap.
