Looking for Dedicated Upper in stock

Finally ready to build a dedicated .22lr but I'm having a hard time finding anything in stock right now. Looking at CMMG, does anybody know if there are any sources that may still have any in stock?

RTB has the parts for an upper build, but only the 20 inch barrel.

Optics planet has M4 and heavy taper barrels.

Either, Preferably complete upper to save time but I can build as well. I'm just in the middle of a house renovation and was hoping to have this put together by the next appleseed I attend without cutting into my house progress

Here is a 20 inch upper, but it doesn't look as if it includes the bolt.

I am hoping to snag a 16" but since that is the most popular size I may have to go 20

What's your deadline? I can check with local people who have AS AR rifles but have put them all away since the virus.

Build an M16A2 Dedicated 22 Clone ( Get Bolt/barrel combo from RTB ) Find A2 Upper at Fulton Armory /JSE Surplus ... and get A2 Furniture from usual sources or used and get A2 Clone lower from Palmetto ... Trust me a Black A2 in 22 is as Sexy as a 22 M4gery or Short Carbine build ...

Looking to have it complete within a month. I'm not worried about the furniture, That can always be changed around later. I'm not sure which direction I want to go with that yet. I have a lower already so that's not an issue, just the assembled uppers is what I have been having a hard time finding but I will get the pieces separate and build if I need to.

Theres a cmmg 16 inch M4 bcg/bbl kit on GB now for 340.00. No upper, just the bcg/bbl. Dont know if that’s what you’re looking for. I bought a dedicated.22 upper from a seller on GB years ago. He had the complete AR for sale, I asked him if he would sell the .22lr upper and he did. Had it painted to match my od Seekins lower. Very pleased with how it turned out. Runs Black Dog mags fine. Good luck on your search.

I've never bought on GB and hesitant on buying someones used parts. I was hoping to track down a Nordic upper as that is what I've been eyeballing for a while with the CMMG coming in second but I believe Nordics are very hard to come by these days over the CMMG.

I found that about a half an hour after I posted that and already ordered it. Now to decide if I want to use some of the furniture I have laying around or do something goofy like a space gun. I saw a storm trooper one that looked cool as a novelty and may want to do something like that.

It's a very easy build to complete, make it suit you/fit you and you will be very happy

I have many 22LR dedicated uppers, and complete rifles at this point. I appreciate them each for what they are and what I can do with them.

Have fun!

Question about the buffer, I assume since it is dedicated I can just install a plug in the buffer tube correct? I was looking at the borebuddy pressure plug but do not know if I need the buffer spring to still hold the plug against the retention pin which I would assume is the case.
