Anyone have an outlet for front sight inserts for the 82G? 0.622 OD inserts. I have the post but looking for the circles. Or others that will work?

18mm appears to be too large to go in. Thanks

I have some 18's for my Redfield Olympic front, let me try them in my Kimber front, no sense in getting them if they wont fit. My 82G came with all the inserts. Will get back to you.

The Redfield Olympics are just a tad too large, though they could be made to work in a pinch if you don’t t mind the aperture off center high. The Kimber front sight was made by Diana. My insert measures 0.625" O.D. and 0.870" across the ears.

What you want are "Feinwerkbau Diana Walther Kimber 15.9mm Globe front sight inserts" about $40 shipped on eBay.

Took it to the range today. Took all wrong targets for the peep system. The only one I could see was this center. At 25 yards the smallest circle aperture was the same diameter as the green circle. Took 5 shots and they were low and left. Went one click up and one click right and took another 5 shots. I was using Wolf Match made by Eley. Pretty pleased. Pretty sure I won't be able to see well enough to shoot 50, LOL. I'll have better targets that I can see next time.

What I did learn is that even with my new spectacles, It's really hard for my 71 year old eyes to see a small target through that tiny peep sight, LOL. No wonder why I like powerful scopes!!!!! I was definitely a real challenge, but lots of fun.

One of the things I did was to put a scope rail and peep sight mount on mine to mimic the integrated unit on my H&R 12, and am using a Redfield Palma rear instead of the Aussie rear that it came with. A Weaver T-36 on Warme QD mounts fits on it nicely.
