Good result with my 2013 KIDD Supergrade.

This was when the rifles barrel was screwed into the receiver.
And because they no longer make it, people of course think it's better than the new Supergrades.

In my option it's not, but I do appreciate that belief has elevated the resale value considerably.

Shot this nice little USBR target with some new lot tested RWS-50.
Lot tested by fellow RFC member "HeyBlue" who is also one of my fellow USBR shooters. We share our lot tested ammo. Separate purchases of course.

244-5X at 50yds at 74 with a slight breeze switching. The wind would cause at most a one ring miss if you weren't paying attention.
There is of course a good story that would explain about one third of my misses, but who would really care.

So not bad.
I know that there are more than a few super custom 10/22's that shoot awesome amongst our RFC members, and this rifle has a pretty good pedigree, but come on, this is way into match grade bolt action rifle territory.

Shot as pictured.

Just wanted to share. I'm kind of a happy camper.

That's great shooting, congratulations.
Those individual bulls are much tougher to hit than most realize.
Much tougher shooting that card than shooting several one-hole groups at that distance.

Thanks for all the complements, appreciate it.

The stock is a McMillan copy of an Anschutz Silhouette stock, right down to the stippling.

It was a custom made version that was machined out to exactly fit the action including the rear tang to the point that you could call it bedded, it's that tight.
It's also pillared.

As far as the target goes, yes it's much harder to keep everything centered and tight on a bull when you're shooting 25 individual ones.

Bull #1 was a cold bore shot after a 15 minute cease fire.
Bull #10 was a premature trigger release (and yes, go ahead and bring on the Smoothtrigger jokes).

The rest of the misses have no excuses, stuff just happens.

Tap the photo to enlarge, you can see the stippling.

Very nice target! That rifle and shooter would do well at the ABRA National’s.

Looked at the ABRA, but couldn't get any read on what diameter the Ten rings is.
Oddly they don't give the specs, and the photo of the target is to small to tell much of anything.

Maybe there is more info out there, but I did go to their web site.

Ok that's pretty small.
And that's the 10 ring not the X, correct?

So that could get me pumped up.
Now I just need a postal/email league.

Killer 2013 KIDD Supergrade.

Smooth.
Here’s a pic with a bullet hole for scale.

I hear yah about travel! WA is a long way from Kettlefoot. Missed it last year, but hopefully I’ll do better this year. Joe puts on good shoots.

The ABRA target is the reason I know how tough it is to hit the center of all those individual targets.
A perfect score gets you 200 points and I haven't come close but got a recent 191 on my last trip to the range with my Chacon but that won't get it done!
I've noticed that the winners of a 3 card match average around 197 per card with a few even higher but I'm not yet good enough so far.

Smoothtrigger, it looks like you're good enough to compete with that rifle of yours.
Most states have ABRA matches; you should give it a go!
You can order those targets at the Auto Bench Rest Association site directly from Joe Chacon. (they come in 100 packs and larger at a decent price).

I have a Vudoo on order and hope to compete in the Heavy Outlaw division against other bolt actions and semi-autos with my Chacon in the future. ("Hope" is the keyword )
My Chacon is accurate enough to compete in the auto-loader division but I'm not at the moment.
I'm getting better though since I got my Randolph Machine rest.
