Was at the range yesterday and a fellow shooter there had a Savage MKII BRJ .22 he was shooting, he had a 24x scope on it and was shooting Eley Team ammo, wow that thing was impressive, he shot 6 or 7 -5 shot groups at 50 yards, I would say they averaged high 2's or low 3's. He then shot a ATA Factory Class target.......2500. Is this normal accuracy with these rifles ?, it has the spiral fluted barrel, anyone have one of these rifles? Hows the accuracy on yours if you do.

I have never owned an inaccurate Savage rifle - centerfire or rimfire. They know how to make barrels.

I've kicked my own butt a million times for trading my 93 stainless heavy barrel.
I bought it used and the first time I shot it with Winchester ammo, it averaged 3/8" at 50 yards and 3/4" at 100 yards.
If I were in the market for another rimfire, it would be a savage.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen, hopefully more BRJ shooters will tellus about their BRJ's. I am seriously considering one. I wonder how they stack up against CZ's in the accuracy dept.

I have a Savage BRJ in an oryx Chasis and it shoots in the 3s most of the time with SK Standard plus. Every now and then I get one of these 5 shot groups. Makes me smile. Going to try to shoot a USBR target this weekend. I will post the results.

I'm another one that hasn't had a bad shooting Savage rifle. I have a Mkii GLV in 17m2, MKii BTVLSSin 22lr, and Mode; 12 FVL in 308 that are very accurate. Even my old Springfield Model 120 is accurate.

Don't Know about 2500 but mine shot 233 on a USBR Target this evening using SK Standard +. Mine has always shot very well for what it is.
