Do you know what killed these 5 range construction projects? I think there they just built a new range around Flagstaff.

2.2 miles south on Powerline Rd south off 89A ( just look for the overhead high tension power lines) east of Prescott Valley a couple of miles and some miles west of Jerome. Gravel road, keep bearing to your right when southbound, it's 2.2 miles in off 89A.
Free outdoor shooting in US Forest Service land.
We've shot everything out there from real deal full auto 1919A4, an American 180 full auto to rimfire hand guns and any & all centerfire handguns, rifles and rimfire rifles.
Just clean up whatever you bring in unlike a lot of slobs who drag in tv's and glass bottles to shoot at and leave their garbage there.

M37, I donít think the 5 range projects have been killed off. I check with the local BLM office from time to time, and they tell me to watch their webpage for news on the opening of one or more. Iíve stopped into the Baldy Mountain spot a few times. When I was last there around Memorial Day, it looked nearly complete.

A plug for Ben Avery and the Cactus Match League. Had a great time today shooting Steel Challenge my normal 3rd Sunday match. 2nd Sunday it's hosted by The Deer Tribe.

Ben Avery has so many ranges there's something for everyone. They have a 300 yard practice range now and also have 1000 yards available for those shooting competitions there.

JEC, thanks for the info. I'll look at there . I stopped at a gun shop up in dewey/Humboldt a couple week's ago and found a bull barrel Ruger 10/22 which I just had to buy. I'm in the process of looking at anything and everything relating to it. It's a new world for me and am getting more enthused about participating in the fun match arena.

Triple K gun shop? They used to be better with the former owners and had a much larger selection when they were further east on HWY69.
