Help!!

First poste here. Just got a m1 or m2 from a friend, wouldnt function. Broke it down completely for cleaning but could not get the trigger pin out. Is there a trick to this? The serial number is 12-616. Any help would be great. It had a build up of old crusted oil every where. looks like it was well oiled and put to rest in a drawer for 20 years. Got it cleaned and working, but the trigger pin has me stumped. I did try a punch and tap it, but it wouodnt move. Thanks for any suggestions. This is the first m1 orm2 (??) I have worker on. Again thanks.

Standard and Mark I models retain the trigger pin with an E-clip on the left end, just inside the frame. Later mark pistols retain the pin with a spring fit into a groove on the right end.

Be careful removing the clip - it's easy to lose.
