yesterday's estate sale find - U.S. 1905 bayonet - blade marked [ RIA - 1906 - flaming ordnance bomb ] leather sheath marked [RIA - 1911 - H.E.K. ] happy till i discovered that even repo handle parts would cost over 6 times more then my purchase price !

not in this case - made many knife + pistol grips but i'd like to maintain some integrity with this one if i decide to keep it - might just sell it as is -

thanks - became an even better find when i remembered having a 1903 Springfield rifle made in 1906 , all original except for 1918 barrel -

How many of those knives have ended up with duct tape handles? In the hands of a grandkid and used to clear blackberries and brush? Then thrown at a tree and broken! Glad you are restoring this one.

handles poor fit but will do - internals + latch took 3 hrs. of file work + fitting to repro parts from SARCO -
