I just bought a MKIV blue 6" standard, but would have bought stainless if available.

I bet you'll see one again. They always have to keep something in pocket for a "new" model each year, especially in years that no major changes are going on.

I'd be surprised if they do. The attraction of the Standard is it's light weight and entry level cost. Stainless, particularly if they used a stainless frame, would make the gun both heavier and more costly.

You never know what they will do down the road. Its like golf clubs, new model every year for the big brands. Have to stay relevant. Who knows that you wouldn't see a 10" MKIV one day even? In limited capacity, stuff like that would sell. Limit production, jack the price, sell to the few. Of course a ton would compare any of it to the MKII and throw a fit that its just a cheap imitation, but oh well. Seriously, they won't make a new design pistol for a while most likely. Can't just keep dropping different colored uppers for 22/45 Lite's every year.
