he bank vault will gouge receiver if it loosens up and needs adjusting. I have the bank vault also. I keep the adjustment screw all the way down and a piece of new cork gasket material on top of the adjustment screw, works well and holds her tight.

Look around some more in the internet for this issue.
One man came up with using a short length of quality fuel line, like made for chain saws. It has a greenish hue.
Remove the factory rubber, cut a piece of fuel line the same height as the rubber plug, and squeeze it into the hole.
It will compress enough to allow "closing" the barrel on the frame and keep it tight enough.
I have several Mk4s, and when the time comes, this is what I will do.

I put another new factory plug in to try it . 20 rounds today and it became a little loose. So I figured since my lug was still loose but the screw really tight I would do what was suggested here. I backed the screw out and then put it in but not all the way. Lug is now very tight.Put upper back on and no wiggle and very tight. Hope this finally cured it. I just thought that lug screw was suppose to be in all the way.

Volquartsen makes a jell pad to put over the nut and make the gun tighter. You may want to use Blue Loctite on the bolt and then put the pad on top of it.

Does anyone have any time with the Volquartsen part? Curious as to how they hold up.
