Is the number on the bottom of the can on SK Magazine the lot number? I didn't see anything else on the can that looked like a lot number. Thanks in advance

I haven't bought any since they changed the color of the cans from red to yellow/black. My red cans have an 048/50 on their bottom.

I believe you will find the lot number, etc., in very fine lettering on the out side rim of the top of the can. Mine reads - SL140432011*

Note, min is upside down.

Thank you. I found it where you said on the rim edge. Very hard to read as some of the numbers nearly missed the rim. Should be able to determine if the newest two cases we just received read the same. Appreciate your help.

Is SK Mag cans even worth sorting due to random spec. or performance that got it allocated into a can in the first place? I have quite a few of these cans I've purchased over last few years when deals were around. I have not opened them thinking they would make great long term storage of ammo.

Weirdly enough, my CZ 457 MTR shoots better with SK Mag than better versions of SK. No idea why.

I'd attribute it to batch differences, Tom.
Variations in quality during the production.
Some batches of bulk 22 are of better quality than the 50 cartridge boxed.
Sounds like ya' got lucky with that purchase of SK Mag.
Next purchase ya' might not do so well in the rimfire lottery.
