Howdy folks, and welcome to this week's President's Day edition of TWH!

Some very interesting presidential facts., including #11!

https://www.factretriever.com/us-presidents-facts

An anarchist and lawyer named Charles Guiteau shot James Garfield in the back with a five-barrel, .44-caliber pistol called a British Bulldog in 1881. He said he chose the gun because it would look good on a display in a museum someday. No one currently knows where the gun is.

James Garfield didn’t die from the gunshot wounds from his assassin’s gun; he died of blood poisoning after doctors and experts (including Alexander Graham Bell) tried to remove the bullet from his back with their dirty fingers and instruments, causing him to linger in pain for 80 days before dying. His assassin, Charles Guiteau, later claimed that he didn’t kill the president, the doctors had.

Calvin Coolidge liked to have his head rubbed with petroleum jelly while eating his breakfast in bed.

Start your engines!!!

Enjoy!

We'll I guess it could stand for Middle Aged White Women, but in this case I meant Middle Aged Wizard Woman.
Gotcha!

Rained all night. Grey all Day. Perfect for making .410 fodder and watching the race.

Oh, and speaking of new things.

I'm the proud owner of a ghost gun. No engraving of any kind. If I can think of a motif, I might send it to Mike.

Suggestions?

Oh yea, I also put a NIB Ruger Bearcat from 1963 on layaway at the shop. It languished in the cabinet for far too long. It was sad, seeing that little single action homeless. Without any dragline even.

Just checked my watch, it is now zero-nap-thirty. Back in an hour or so.

My early single six dosen't have a drag line on either cylinder my wife's 2019 one however does. Does it have the safety conversion?

Reporting in. Since I've damaged the stock on my 455 I now feel free to raise the comb on it and paint it to hide the wood butchery I'll be performing. I'm going to shoot Silhouette with this rifle this year. I still haven't got that plastic recoil pad off. My Pachmayr 500B pad is on back order.

Back to NASCAR.
