Ok,

If anyone is feeling like it, please enlighten me on that rule.

When I make up contests, the rules are the rules because of very good reasons. I just haven't been able to get handle on this one. I hate not understanding something.

Now I need to find a 25yd range!

Smooth

We do have a 50 yard game too I think you may want to try:
https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...d.php?t=308465

Started by our late friend Ricochet it is a tough one and being a Rico game it is only 4 shots per group because he burned so much ammo. Oh yeah he wallpapered his living room and shooting room with targets he had shot. Shooting Room you ask? His spare bedroom was turned into a shooting room so he could shoot year round in "Montanny"

Vincent,

Went to those treads but they seem to have gone kind of dormant.
My five shot / 4 group target measures at 5.37mm average for whatever it's worth.

Thanks for the heads up.
If I can print out chiwa's target, I'll give the Sawdust Challenge an official try.

Thank you Vincent for all your efforts.

My range doesn't have a 25yd line, so I shot this one target on my property, after getting the nod from my two neighbors.

They were like, sure, ,whatever, go for it.

So that's exactly what I did

After that I wasn't comfortable shooting any additional targets, especially considering this isn't a contest for smallest average.

I thought about shooting my .17hmr, but it's so much louder I decided to skip it. Besides, I think I can get it qualified shooting at 50yds.

So I'm very pleased to be included as a member of the Sawdust Challenge.

Smooth

It is my pleasure to help out. What started as one idea shared with a couple like minded people it took a year to get our first SuperStock type forum and now we have three and it is a pleasure to deal with all the good people like you that have participated.

Looking forward to your 50 yard with 22lr and 17

Anschutz 1727 F
Muzzel .700" -- Standard Class
Leupold 3-9x 33mm EFR Ultra Light
BullsBag - Protektor Rear Bag
CCI TNT .17hmr

Shot at 50yds off a bench.

This not being submitted for inclusion in the Sawdust Challenge, because I have a 25yd target which is more in keeping with the other targets.

I'm justing showing it for fun.

Anschutz 1727 F
Muzzel .700" -- Standard Class
Leupold 3-9x 33mm EFR Ultra Light
BullsBag -- no rear rest
CCI TNT .17hmr

Shot at 25yds, Indoors.

This was way harder to shoot than I had expected. Without a rear bag, sitting on a stool made it a real challenge to keep the gun still. I won't go into all the details, but it took me ten minutes of fiddling around to start the target.

I feel very fortunate to have only that one poor shot on target #4, considering how tough to was to keep rifle on target.

Both targets were one-offs, mainly because this isn't a contest to see who can shoot the smallest average. Having said that, I think I could go smaller at 25yds if I shot off a bench using my rear bag.

Please evaluate the 25yd target for inclusion in the Challenge.

Smooth
