The right tool for the job Que......

Those parts are looking real good now. The Dremel is good for small parts, but when you have something with surface mass, those little polishing wheels just don't cut it.

I once polished a satin stainless 6" S&W 686 (.357 Magnum) with my Dremel, I went through 8 of those little buffer wheels before I was done, but that revolver sure looked good.....

well I'm doing something I haven't tried before........bedding the rcvr and barrel with Liquid Nails. I just hope I can get the thing apart after this. I'll find out in a day or so I guess.
used Johnson's Wax as a release agent. here are a couple of pics to show what I've attempted. Notice I've avoided the takedown area....unsure/fear haha.

if there are any voids I'll add a little more to it as needed.
I imagine that this isn't the best stuff to use for bedding but it was handy.

Well I don't think I'd try to take it apart until Friday. It'll probably still be soft in the middle. You could do it earlier, just dont fuss with it for a few days.SLow

That recv'r and tg look great Que. A lot better than the silver paint that comes on the stainless models from the factory. Very nice build, as usual.

The problem I see is the the bottom of the take down area is traditionally the most important place to bed

yeah Vincent I hear ya. I'm doing this probably backwards but I do plan on getting to that. just trying this stuff out to see how it works. going to get this all set up then recess the take down area and fill that in also. we'll see as I truely have no clue as to what I am doing but I hardly ever let that stop me
as it goes along I'll post another pic or two of the rest of the bedding that are in my plans. like I say probably the wrong way but...............
