Wow, some super scores so farthis month! I'm inspired!!

Ben, Thanks for the recommendation. Benchmark would be great if the budget would allow, but a 245+, welll... (Maybe I'll just wait a bit, save up few more bucks.)

Dale, you couldn't go wrong with a Lilja or any of the top barrels. The Lilja drop-ins list at $335 new from Lilja, though. Unless you have a line on a known-to-be-good used Lilja, I'm not sure there's much price difference. Might be worth it to call Benchmark and see what it'd run to have them install one of theirs in your gun. This is if you are following the "fashionable trend" on Benchmark that seems to be going around in the BR crowd.

Good luck,
Ben

Benchmark i plan to have a new benchmark made for my turbo when the season is over. the lilja barrel shoots great but i think my sporter with the Benchmark will out shoot it.

Now to me that is saying something for Benchmark barrels.

I predict that many more world records to be had with Benchmark barrels.

Well I've shot all four of my targtes for score this month and like Ben B would say, I'll have to settle from a kiss from my sister (that is no 240 this month). I'm for sure going to shoot more targets this month, they just wil not count for these RFC matches.

July 1 2006
50 Yards
239 4X, Jim Finn, Eagle River, AK (jimfinn)
Custom Winchester 52D, Leupold 36X, Eley Match EPS

Jim,

A 239 score is pretty dang good in my opinion on these targets. Heck I would love to shoot another 240 score. But so far, I haven't.

Thanks Brad,
I know 239 is a good score. But if I just hadn't shot that 8 on bull #24
Yep the difference between a high 230's and 240+ is just a whisker!!!

Jim,

It probably is more than likely the ammo.

Good killer ammo is just hard to find without others getting dibs on it first. I honestly believe that.

The rest is the wind.

Jim, Good target, anybody shooting 235+ is my hero!

Ben, Mark, Randy, thanks for the advice on barrel selection. Seems like climbing upwards in this BR game is one plateau at a time, with the next one costing about double the previous.

And Randy, did get more flags, also got more confused! (See pic.)
Dale
