I couldn't believe what I was reading. My thoughts and prayers go out to Marty's family and friends. I know Marty was a likeable man.

Marty will be missed. He could truely shoot with the best of them.

Rest in peace my friend.

Brad

I never met Marty personally, but did have the pleasure of exchanging a number of e -mails with him. He is the only person to shoot a 250 at fifty yards and my hat is off to him for being able to do it. He will be missed on the fourms and the on-line matches.

Bud,
Very sad news, I'm so sorry you had to post this time. As I've said before, for us newcomers, Marty was an inspiration. We've lost a key member of the RFC family.

A Tribute to Marty Conry

This is as close as I can come to a 21-gun salute. But, may I ask all of my fellow shooters to observe a moment of silence for Marty and his family at noon this Sunday? And if you happen to be somewhere shooting when you do it, I know Marty would approve and smile down upon you. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones at this time. My "Thin Red LIne" of friends and acquaintences has lost another member. Yes, the other ranks will push forward to occupy his position, but the space in our thoughts and hearts will forever be diminished by his loss.

Marty

I am saddened by this loss. Its more than loosing a awesome competetor and life of knowledge, but a guy any one of us would love to have coffee with to share his wit and gun talk with. My condolances to his family and those who knew him personally at home and at the range. Bill

Wow sad news. 250 at 50 yards is a great accomplishment that could only be achieved by a great man. I know he will be missed but not forgoten. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family. Rest in peace.

I and along with others here, shot with Marty. I can't convey the feeling of loss at his passing.

Not only was he a great shooter but a really nice guy to talk to and have coffee with.

We'll miss him a lot.

Farewell, my friend.

The sad loss of a great competitor

It is with a great loss that I will shoot in the future . Mr Conry,s scores
were always ones to be checked and aspired to meet. Sincere condolences
from all Michigan Upper Peninsula shooters to his family.
