The main thing was that my hands were FILTHY after shooting it. That prompted me use a feeler gauge and inspect the cylinder-barrel gap. It measured .017" on the LR cylinder and .016" on the mag cylinder.

I googled the subject and found that most people think .006" is ideal, at least for centerfire revolvers.

The other thing was as mentioned above: the ejector rod doesn't align correctly, and is hard to use. II didn't see an easy way to adjust the alignment of the ejector rod, unfortunately. It needs to move about 3/32" to align correctly.

So, I put in a call to Heritage tech support. The lady I spoke to was very pleasant, and issued a repair authorization, and took $50 for shipping.

She also said 12 weeks for the repair. I don't shoot all that often, but seriously? Three months? Seems excessive.

I'll keep y'all posted.
Help me understand this correctly. The gun was defective when purchased new and they charged you $50 to correct their error? It should never have left the factory with the ejector rod 3/32" out of alignment...that's huge. Should have been repaired cost free in my opinion.

Back to the forum, I tried to sign in the other night and it said my PW or UN was incorrect. I know my UN because I have previous posts.

I did the reset PW email and cut and paste the PW from the email into the website login and it said it was still incorrect > DONE.

New interest

Got a new RR to pick up tuesday. Never owned or shot a SA revolver but the Wrangler got me interested. I`ve been all over my area looking at and handling all the SA`s I could find. Handled some single sixes that really made me want them but I figured it would be wiser to try a much less expensive SA just to be sure. The Wrangler looks like it will be in short supply for some time and I may just decide to spend the extra for the Single Six because of the adjustable sights.
