50 Yard Entry

50 Yard Entry Shot 5-4-19
240 6X Tony Pittsburgh, PA (aslap)
Parts gun. TULA MTs-12 receiver; bolt found on eBay; Rock Creek barrel; my work on getting the barrel installed; obviously homemade stock. Weaver T36 and Center X ammo at the 329 speed. Mid 60's sunny light wind. Had quite a few get away from me. Nice 5 shot group to start the session as I sighted in. Target says 241 but I have troble with math. It is a 240.

Thanks!

Looks like the group measurement is 0.000 but it came out really as 0.088. I just don’t understand how I can shoot a group like that and then throw 8’s!

But yes, I haven’t seen a 240 for a while.

Tony

50 yard entry - Shot 05/11/19
242-6X Sod Farmer
Lonestar/Shilen ratchet/Jewel/Harrells tuner.
Unlimited Class.
NF Fixed 42X.
Shot using a Seb Neo front rest and a Protector Rear Bag.
Eley Match.
Cloudy, 48°, Breezy, 12mph wind

I shot this target today at our clubs monthly rimfire outdoor benchrest competition. It was good enough to win today. The wind was swirling a lot with the flags frequently pointing opposite directions at the same time. I found that it was good to wait for the right condition before breaking the shot.

I shot this second target at 100 yds at the same competition with the same equipment. I do realize that we aren't comparing 100 yd targets, but I learned something important while shooting this particular target. This is a very good target for me and is far above my typical performance. I can attribute the small grouping, to recognizing a specific wind condition and shooting ten shots as fast as possible while the condition lasted. It scored 248 out of a possible 250.
