I believe this is the one my LGS was telling me about the other day. He said that you HAVE to strip it and thoroughly clean it, or it will not run. And, maybe something about how it likes a specific ammo. But, he bought one for himself, and thinks it's the cat's meow.

I have experience with only two, my own and my brother's, but they both run great and required no special cleaning before hand; just the usual field strip, wipe down, bore swab to get rid of the assembly/packing oil.

I have only run 40gr ammo thru mine (that's all I shoot in .22WMR) and its preference is for the Fiocchi JSP. It does shoot to point of aim at 25yds.

Good luck

Had one. A malfunctioning p.o.s. Not as bad as the Kel Tec PMR30, but still bad. Tried many different kinds of ammo. Funny thing was it was the worst with Armscor ammo. It went back to Armscor twice. After that I got rid of it. The Excel Arms Accelerator was good for awhile then started to have problems. Don't have the money to spend on try out the Volquartsen. Went back to a revolver.

I have had one for 6 months and enjoy it very much. Nothing special about cleaning BUT there is a VERY small spring and plunger between the barrel and barrel shroud. It is very easy to lose these upon disassembly. I unknowingly lost mine the first time I disassembled it. Had a few FTF until I realized I was shooting it with parts missing. RIA replaced them at no charge and said "no worries, everyone loses those ". Now it is 100% reliable. There is a speed loader available from RAE Industries for these. I REALLY like my XTM22 but it is LOUD.

I love mine the only issue I had was the mag was bad. I ordered two aftermarket mags and it has run perfectly no problems at all.
I will agree you shouldn't have to buy aftermarket mags to have your pistol run correctly. I just feel that is the state of our working staff nobody does there job anymore just pass it on.

It is accurate as can be mine likes 40 grain my concern was the fixed sights but for me they are right on at 25 yds.

I have had one for about 8 months and love it. it has been very reliable with all types of ammo. Several of my friends have shot it and they also like it. Just be aware that Armscor states in their instructions that the it does not have last shot hold open. Other than that it has been great.

I just picked one up yesterday. My plan is to clean it up and take it to the range tomorrow. I'm hoping it will work well...we'll see.

Only ammo issues

I've put about 500 rds through mine, Armscor, CCI Maximag, Hornady V-Max and Winchester Super X. The only issue I've had is with the Winchester Super X with the case getting stuck in the chamber at times. I've had the same type of issue with the Winchester Super X in my PMR 30 and Excel Accelerator so must be the ammo.

I bought one in late February and took it to the range. I was using Armscor Ammo. On the 3rd shot the pistol felt like it had exploded and my right hand was bleeding! The fired case had blown up at the rim. I contacted Armscor and they had me send the gun and ammo to them. After 3 months and many phone calls and emails a replacement pistol was sent to my local FFL. Also, after my experience, my local FFL had another of the same pistol and I volunteered in March to test it. SAME RESULT. It blew up and injured my right thumb with Armscor ammo. It was also replaced.
I was leary of the Armscor ammo so I took three magazines and 4 other brands of ammo.
The pistol was ok with Federal and Remington although one Federal split at the mouth. In then tried Winchester and almost every round only partially extracted and caused a jam. Then I tried CCI with the same FTE and jamming on almost every round.
Fortunately, my local FFL let me return it and I am done with Armscor/Rock Island.
