So, three CZ's in one decade...

....and each with many different versions.

For each model, which version would you say really brings out its best?

For me, I would say the 452 Americans are a class act. Very hard not to take the Lux with the tangent sights though.
For the 455's I'd say that the short, handy Lux has the most going for it. I admit that I'm biased because mine is just great.
For the 457's, well it just seems to me that the Varmint version is proportioned almost ideally for that action.

So, lets hear from everyone - what do YOU think was the best flavor of each model?

I'm glad CZ does a fairly decent job of covering the bases with models, some European models I'd like to see here, do wish someone would take the Laser they're using to turn their stocks into Billboards away from them.

I'm new to the CZ world. I only own 5. Love them all.
My go to sweet 457, 22r, American has to be my go to plinker, target and 100 yard plus gun. It is sweet and feels good. Just a classic tack driver. Increadible.

The 457 MTR is dressed to impress. And it does impress if you load the right round.
Just fun with a 50 yard target. Bad to the bone.

I love shooting the 455 and 457 Trainers with open sights. I'm always competing against myself with open sights. Simple accuracy. No show but a lot of go.

I have 4 CZ models on my want list. Maybe 5. Maybe 6. I collect things and I want them all.

You asked.
My 2 cents.

It may not be the iron sights we love as much as the challenge.

They make me think of Ruger's plastic stocks' scalloped butts. Shudder!

Since I can't see from one end of the barrel to the other without correction any more, I have to concur. All of my active shooting rifles are scoped.

With a pair of CZ512 in my collection, I've lost all shame.

I am, if anything, a traditionalist. In that sense, I love the look of a beautiful traditional wood stock and classic lines of a sighted rifle. So this influences my picks:

CZ 452 Ultra Lux with that very long 28 1/2" barrel and sights.

CZ 455 FS or the CZ 455 Training rifle (Full stock would be my first pick though).

CZ 457 Lux (My next purchase....or Christmas surprise...I hope).

I prefer either the American or Varmint stocks. I don't like the hog back European stocks but that seems to be a minority view.

CaptBill, I like the way you think. I also want them all. We do have the sickness. I also have BRNOitis. Is there any rehab available for us? So you are new to CZs and you already have 5. You may be doomed.
