I will email them now with a link to this thread and although there may not be a great number of us that have commented wanting a new trigger, the number of people who have viewed this thread is proof enough that people are keeping an eye on options...
I just got off the phone with Dean Van Marel of Jard Inc. He was responding to my email on the desire for a new Browning T Bolt Trigger. Great guy and eager to learn what we had in mind. He would like to build an adjustable one that would start at around 12 oz and go up from there. Boy....that sounded great to me !!
He said they would be happy to design one, and will start work on it as soon as he gets a donor rifle. He mentioned he already had a 60's (original T bolt) but I explained that I was pretty sure the two triggers are very different. Here is the deal. Whoever sends him a new or lightly used T-Bolt he will use it to measure, engineer and test the trigger. For that generosity, Jard will give that owner a FREE trigger.
So.....do we have anyone who can spare their rifle for a month or so? I would give him mine but my 13 year old shoots it all the time and would be very upset to part with it if only for a few months.

I'm in for one. I fondled a maple stock a couple of weeks ago and it almost came home with me. Then I did some research and found out about the triggers. With a replacement trigger available I would definitely pick up a T-bolt after the holidays.
same here, I was going to get a new 1911 next, but I think I will keep my eyes open for a T Bolt with good wood. I let a maple stocked one get by me a couple weeks ago, had a super nice figured stock, but the trigger thing made me say no to it. Wish I got it now.
I'm not sure any individual there knows what is going on. I also inquired several times. I was told on 16OCT2014 that:
"We're on track for (2015) shot show." This was emailed from Kevin “T-Bone” Dee, Timney Technical Support Advisor.
When I saw the OP above I inquired again 10AUG2015. Mr. Dee wrote: "No updates at this time. Still on the schedule". I was tempted to send Mr. Dee the contradictory response regarding "I suggest contacting us again to see if this one is in the design process yet." from Ms. Nix but am losing interest quickly....Tom

I'll take one, these modern day t-bolts that are very accurate rimfires. I am certainly no gunsmith but have taken the trigger assembly apart several times trying to improve on it. Several others have tried also, it's been quite a while now but if memory serves "gizzy" made his own lighter trigger spring out of piano wire and claims to have made a good improvement. Another fellow drilled corresponding holes in a arc for the leg of the trigger spring to go into there by reducing trigger pull. He claims to have gotten it down under two pounds with the same crisp trigger pull with no over travel these rifles are known for.
