Name: 72coupe/Roy Woodman
Location: Wichita Falls, Tx
Gun: Ruger Precision
Setup: Good iron sights
Ammo: Federal Automatch
Notes: Warm Windy day. Light was not very good. It was my day to shoot 6s, 7s and 8s. So I just embraced it.
Practice 25 yd scope
I also am familiar with 6's &7's. This was my third target this morning. I kept getting better but got tired. That is a lot of shooting for this old guy. Cheers, Jake

Nice shooting Jake, that #4 is a beauty. For me, any set with five 90+ bulls is a success !
Hats off to any of you guys who can shoot several sets in a row like that, my eyes will only allow me barely 5 bulls, beyond that I am just wasting ammo and frustrating myself !
All the best,
Bob4BVM

yeah, I'm REALLY happy if my eyes hold up for 5 bulls, even with a scope.
next month I go in for cataract surgery, in both eyes.
that will likely be followed up with retinal surgery, if cataracts didn't help enough.
who knows, maybe in a couple of months I'll even be able to see iron sights again...

Not bad at all for me and the way I have been shooting lately.
Thanks gents. No 8's is my favorite thing about the set... I'd be pretty pleased with a 450 if it were from 50 consecutive 9's .
It's the consistency I'm after... can't hold the 10 ring constantly even on my best day, but can keep it in the 9 on most. 8 or below usually means something else was donked- probably the trigger pull in my case. Getting a 9 means I likely executed the shot fairly well, & it landed within my area of wobble.
Don't you just love it? I don't shoot near that good but 6's and 7's still cause great pain. It always seems, the higher you fly the harder you fall. If it was easy it wouldn't be worth the effort. Cheers, Jake

I think that I have dodged a bullet; I could have jerked it out of all the scoring rings.
