First time back for several months, and felt just okay.
have a few irons sessions under my belt now for the month.
Shot a 455 , 458, & today a 465.
Four of the bulls looked pretty nice but for an 8 here or there, rest of the shots were very centered on the 10 ring.
Today I tried something a bit different, put a patch over my non-shooting eye. Seemed to help my concentration a bit and also maybe was a bit quicker to acquire a good sight picture,
I finished the set a bit faster than usual, which for me means less eye fatigue, something I have been fighting on my 4th & 5th bulls. Anyway, it shows promise, we shall see. For now I will just use it on the irons.

Well, thanks Bob for the help with the targets. I did get some shot on 9/13 and 9/14 and hoped to get some shot last weekend, but all has been too hectic. I'm hoping to remember my photo's of the targets and get them posted this afternoon. So, new to this offhand match, but not new to offhand shooting. I have to say that you folks that shoot this match are pretty prolific shooters---seems like Alan must shoot every day,,HA!

A dearth of Xs though. Still too many darn 8s. At least no 7s this time
I am working hard on "taking the 1st ten", it's a mind game for sure, for me at least.

I certainly don't shoot every day, only once on the weekend and our Wednesday night practices during the summers (Daylight Saving time).
My main game is smallbore and air rifle silhouette and we have club matches three weekends a month, so I like to use my "off" weekends shooting this challenge as a sort of cross-training for my silhouette.
483-19X is a great score to kick off your start to the match. Keep it up!
